Van Plunges into Drain in Kasur: 8 Dead, 2 Injured
Eight people lost their lives and two others were injured when a van fell into a drain in Kasur, police reported on Friday.
Details of the Incident
According to Station House Officer (SHO) Ghulam Sabir, the victims were returning from a wedding when their van plunged into a drain near Raiwind. The injured individuals were rushed to Baba Bulleh Shah Hospital in Kasur by Rescue 1122.
Police Action
Kasur police spokesperson Sajid Hussain confirmed that the driver of the van has been arrested, and action has been taken against him.
Cause of the Accident
Rescue 1122 stated that the accident occurred when the driver reportedly became drowsy while driving.
