Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Conclude Joint Naval Exercise

The Pakistan Navy (PN) and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) successfully wrapped up their bilateral maritime exercise, Naseem Al Bahr-XV, with a live weapon firing demonstration in the North Arabian Sea. The event highlighted the combat readiness and warfighting capabilities of both navies.

High-Level Attendance

The ceremony was attended by senior officials from both nations. The Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces was the Chief Guest, while Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Pakistan’s Chief of the Naval Staff, also graced the occasion. The Pakistan military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), shared details of the event in a press release.

Live Weapon Firing Demonstration

During the exercise, naval ships from both countries showcased their firepower. The Pakistan Navy Ships (PNS) Zulfiqar and PNS Yarmook, alongside the Royal Saudi Naval Forces ships HMS Jazzan and HMS Hail, successfully fired Surface-to-Surface and Surface-to-Air missiles. All targets were effectively engaged, demonstrating the navies’ precision and combat readiness.

Advanced Maritime Operations

The exercise featured a series of complex maritime operations, including:

  • Joint maneuvers to enhance coordination.
  • Anti-Surface Warfare and Anti-Submarine Warfare drills.
  • Integrated Maritime Security Operations to address modern maritime threats.
