Betting App Case: Ducky Bhai Confesses Guilt

Saad-ur-Rehman, often known as Ducky Bhai, is a well-known YouTuber from Pakistan who has acknowledged his role in the betting app issue.

He was arrested on August 16 in relation to online gambling advertising and betting applications, according to Observer Guardian, and turned over to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).

The YouTuber made his first public apology for his acts and admitted to the crime in an interview with the media outside the court.

Ducky Bhai is heard saying, “Since the beginning, I used to create roasting videos, which I now consider an unethical practice, and for that I sincerely apologize to the entire nation,” in a social media video that has gone viral.

I was offered deals to promote certain applications, and I endorsed them without verifying their legality, he added.  I thought these apps were genuine because they were heavily advertised on TV, particularly during PSL games. I ask for pardon for this as well.

At NCCIA’s plea, the Lahore court first granted a two-day physical remand for Saad-ur-Rehman. His remand was later extended by an additional four days after he appeared in court once more.

Following the earlier remand period, he was produced before a Judicial Magistrate on August 23 by the FIA’s National Crime Agency. According to the Observer Guardian, the judge subsequently granted a further five-day remand.

It is also crucial to remember that Aroob Jatoi, Ducky Bhai’s wife, has also been nominated in the betting app case. The Lahore Sessions Court, however, ordered officials not to arrest her until August 30 and gave her temporary release.
