Punjab Launches “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” Scheme: Free Plots for the Homeless
LAHORE: In a major welfare initiative, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” programme, offering free 3-marla residential plots to the province’s poorest and homeless citizens.
Key Features of the Scheme:

1,892 free plots distributed across 23 housing projects in 19 districts of Punjab.

Targeted Districts: Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Jhang, Jhelum, Kasur, Khushab, Layyah, Lodhran, Mandi Bahauddin, Okara, Rajanpur, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Vehari.
✅ Eligibility Criteria:

Must be a permanent resident of Punjab (as per CNIC).

No property ownership (applicant, spouse, or dependent children).

Clean criminal record and no financial default (bank loans, etc.).

Applications only accepted in the applicant’s native district.
