Mysterious Death of Actress Humaira Asghar: Signs She Was Washing Clothes Before Passing, Say Investigators

Reported by The Observer Guardian Staff

Karachi – In a startling development, investigators have found evidence suggesting that actress Humaira Asghar may have been washing clothes shortly before her untimely death. Clothes were discovered soaking in the bathtub of the bathroom attached to the room where her body was later found.

According to investigative officials, the balcony door of the room was open, while Humaira’s body was recovered from an adjacent room. The flat, located in the upscale Ittehad Commercial area, appeared undisturbed — with the main entrance locked from the inside using a double-lock system, raising further questions about the circumstances of her death.

Officials also recovered utility bills and a rent slip dated up to May 2024, indicating that the flat had not been vacated or officially abandoned. According to sources confirmed by The Observer Guardian, Humaira Asghar is believed to have died on October 7, 2024, but the flat remained sealed and unnoticed until December, when neighbours began complaining about a foul odor emanating from the apartment.

Her decomposed body was only discovered on July 8, 2025, when court bailiffs arrived to enforce a notice due to non-payment of rent. After repeated knocks went unanswered, the bailiffs were forced to break open the door—revealing the tragic scene inside.

The cause of death remains undetermined. Medical reports and chemical examinations are currently underway and will be critical in ascertaining whether foul play was involved or if the death occurred due to natural causes.

The case has gripped public attention, with fans and fellow artists demanding a transparent and thorough investigation. The Observer Guardian will continue to follow this story as new developments unfold.
