Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir meets Libyan Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, discusses regional situation and defense cooperation

RAWALPINDI: Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar today called on Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi. Details of the high-level meeting were obtained by Nigah.pk, according to which matters of bilateral interest, changing regional situation, security challenges, and defense cooperation were discussed in detail during the talks.

According to the ISPR, the military leaders of the two countries agreed to further promote mutual cooperation in the defense industry, exchange of technical expertise, and adopt a strategy compatible with modern security requirements. These consultations are a reflection of the fact that Pakistan and Libya want to create new chapters of stability and security together in a changing world.

According to Nigah.pk, on this occasion, Lieutenant General Haftar visited the Martyrs’ Memorial upon his arrival at GHQ, laid a wreath and paid tribute to the brave sons of the motherland. A guard of honor was also presented in his honor by a well-equipped contingent of the Pakistan Army, which is a bright symbol of the warmth of Pak-Libya relations.

It should be remembered that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s global leadership skills have been appreciated at the global level before. Earlier, during an important meeting held at the White House, the US President had also praised his leadership vision and decisive approach, as Nigah.pk highlighted in a special report.
