Info Minister Atta Tarar visits LoC with local, foreign media.

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar led a significant visit to the Line of Control (LoC), accompanied by representatives of both international and local media, to expose the realities behind India’s repeated allegations of terrorist infrastructure on Pakistani soil.

Organized by the Ministry of Information, the visit granted journalists direct access to areas India has consistently accused of hosting militant camps. However, reporters found no such evidence—only thriving civilian communities with homes, markets, and public infrastructure. Residents provided firsthand testimonies countering Indian claims, emphasizing peace and normalcy in their daily lives.

Addressing the media, Tarar denounced India’s allegations as baseless and politically motivated, asserting that such accusations are part of a broader misinformation campaign to justify aggression and deflect from India’s own human rights abuses in IIOJK (Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir). He emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to peace, both regionally and globally, and strongly condemns terrorism in all forms.

However, he warned that Pakistan will not compromise its sovereignty and will respond firmly to any provocation. He criticized India for using LoC-related propaganda to distract from internal turmoil and repression in Kashmir.

Separately, in an in-camera briefing to political leaders, the military leadership assured that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to any aggression. The briefing, led by Tarar and DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reviewed the post-Pahalgam attack situation and regional military readiness.

Key Points:

  • Media visit to LoC organized to counter Indian claims of militant camps in Pakistan.

  • Journalists observed peaceful civilian areas, not militant infrastructure.

  • Residents gave testimonies contradicting Indian allegations.

  • Minister Tarar labeled India’s accusations as propaganda to cover up failures in IIOJK.

  • Pakistan reiterated its commitment to peace and condemnation of terrorism.

  • Firm warning: Pakistan will defend its sovereignty if challenged.

  • India accused of using LoC rhetoric to distract from domestic repression in Kashmir.

  • Military assured political leadership of full preparedness amid rising tensions.

The LoC media visit, coupled with government and military briefings, reflects Pakistan’s strategic push to counter India’s narrative through transparency and diplomacy. By exposing the reality on the ground and highlighting the civilian nature of the areas in question, Pakistan aims to discredit Indian propaganda and shift global attention toward India’s rights violations in Kashmir. While Pakistan reiterates its peaceful intent, it makes clear that any threat to its sovereignty will meet a strong and resolute response.
