Mir Yar Baloch, A Digital Proxy

The character of Mir Yar Baloch has become present online more than an activist. Indeed, he is an astute plotter. While his rhetoric can be read as an expression of rights concern, therefore there is a deeper game in the pattern. For instance, each of the posts reflects Harbiyar Marri. All the tweets amplify Indian disinformation. He is not just a voice. He is a proxy.

Harbiyar Marri is not a stranger. He is the founder of the Balochistan Liberation Army. As a result of his foreign safe havens, he constructed a digital empire. It is Indian media who are his megaphone. One thing has been driven to its limits by him. Pakistan must be blackened. His story becomes the truth of the world and conceals horror.

BLA as a Terrorist Outfit

The BLA is not a love movement. It is an organization that is listed as a terrorist one. It has been banned in Pakistan many years ago. And the United States followed suit in August 2025. The BLA and its Majeed Brigade were declared by Washington as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. That was a decisive step. It tore the veil of so called separatists. It exposed them to be killers.

The Crimes in Blood

It is not rhetorical evidence. It is in tragedy. Innocent passengers were killed by the Jaffar Express bombing. Families coming back home were killed. The Khuzdar Army Public School attack did not stop that. Children were being attacked intentionally. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization used it as a reminder of the brutality of terror. To Pakistan, these are not numbers. They are deep wounds.

Diplomatic Recognition

The recognition of crimes committed by the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) was firmly reinforced by its supporters. At the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, Pakistan ensured the international community acknowledged this reality. The attacks carried out by the BLA were explicitly mentioned in the official communique. Earlier diplomatic efforts in Washington had a firm stance, with the BLA designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). Together, these actions have dealt a significant blow to the BLA, severely damaging its narrative and legitimacy.

India could not stem this tide. It desired the BLA to look like a separatist conflict. Unfortunately, it failed. Its global script failed in the fora. But defeat on foreign soil required retaliation online. That is where proxies such as Mir Yar Baloch had intervened. They turned into cyber warriors. They tried to muddle the waters.

Waves of online attacks were initiated by Mir Yar Baloch. He attempted to destroy diplomatic success of Pakistan. The opinion of freedom was not expressed in his posts. They sterilized a terrorist outfit. They wanted to forget the acknowledgement. They sought to weaken counterterrorism consensus. That is not dissent. That is complicity.

Disinformation as a Weapon

The trend followed each time Pakistan was achieving diplomatic momentum. Digital offensives were caused by multilateral success. The bilateral recognition created more noise. Such attacks were never accidental. Their playbook was in line with that of Harbiyar Marri and indirectly, they conformed to Indian state goals. The correlation cannot be ignored.

The Risk of Glorification

Trying to defend a terror group is not a neutral action. It legitimizes violence. It gives courage to the perpetrators of civilians. It even disgraces kids who were murdered in classes. And even worse is that it disrupts international structures. SCO and the US realized what BLA is about. Proxies undermine the war on terror by challenging that acknowledgment.

Pakistan’s Right to Respond

Pakistan has all the right to retaliate. Domestic law is clear. It is a crime to glorify terrorism. Moreover, there is also a clear international law. It is suspicious to defend a FTO designated by US. Islamabad needs to keep on unveiling the Indian hand diplomatically. The backdoor to the BLA should be exposed even more. Its online proxies must be dialed out.

This is not law and diplomacy. It is about narrative. Balochistan is a region that needs peace and development. Its citizens are supposed to live without fear.

The BLA and its proxies misrepresent that fact. They sell chaos as freedom.

Pakistan will need to recover that territory. It must show Mir Yar Baloch as he is. A proxy for Harbiyar Marri. And not without reason some proxy of Indian forms.

After all, there is a limit to propaganda. In fact, the facts can never be rewritten. The BLA is portrayed to the world as a terrorist organization. Moreover, its fingers are in the blood of victims. Clearly, it has failed its mission in Balochistan. Furthermore, Foreign support cannot be a cover. Similarly, no history can be erased by digital noise. Consequently, the lies of Mir Yar Baloch will die away. The truth will remain.
