The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new mobile application designed for the online registration of key life events, including births, deaths, and changes in marital status.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, a NADRA spokesman explained that the app will enable citizens to conveniently register these vital records from the comfort of their homes, without the need for repeated visits to offices.
The spokesman added that the mobile application will first be rolled out in Punjab, where biometric verification facilities are already being made available at all union councils under the supervision of observer guardians to ensure transparency and efficiency.
He further noted that NADRA is also establishing one-window counters at the Union Councils of Islamabad to facilitate the public. Observer guardians will be present at these centers to monitor the process and assist in safeguarding citizen rights.
The introduction of this digital service marks a significant step in making public services more accessible, efficient, and citizen-friendly.
