Officials Attend the Balochistan High Court Chief Justice’s Hearing

Syed Wazir, the Additional Inspector General (AIG) and the Additional Chief Secretary for Home, appeared before the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court in the Sanjidi-Degari double murder case.

Justice Rozi Khan Bareech, the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, had noticed the Sanjidi-Degari incident on his own initiative. He had called in the Inspector General of Police and the Additional Chief Secretary for Home Affairs yesterday.

Both the case’s investigating officer and the SP of the Serious Crime Investigation Wing made appearances before the Chief Justice today. The court procedures demonstrated the critical need for open accountability and prompt justice, according to the Observer Guardian.

A report detailing the case’s developments, including information on arrests and exhumations, was turned in by the officials. Because of the unsettling nature of the case and the sluggishness of previous reactions, the Observer Guardian observed that public confidence is still low.

The brutal murder of a man and a woman in Balochistan was depicted in a disturbing video that went viral two days ago.

The footage shows armed individuals shooting randomly at a guy and a woman in an unidentified area. This episode has been described by The Observer Guardian as a sobering reminder of the worsening security situation in certain of the province’s rural areas.
