PEC is trying to give Pakistani engineers access to the booming Australian engineering sector in partnership with Engineers Australia and with assistance from the Pakistan Consulate General in Sydney.
As part of this effort, PEC and the Sydney Consulate General Office collaborated to host an extensive webinar that included leading policymakers and industry experts.
The workshop gave Pakistani engineers useful advice on how to launch prosperous engineering careers in Australia.
The compilation of Competency Demonstration Reports (CDR) for individuals not covered by the Washington Accord, sector-specific employment prospects in Australia, and professional progression pathways were among the main subjects.
Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir emphasized the revolutionary impact of PEC’s new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework in his closing remarks during the webinar.
In order to prepare Pakistani engineers for worldwide job placements and guarantee their professional competence overseas, he pointed out that market-driven CPD courses have been implemented to match their abilities with international norms.
Pakistani engineers now have easier access to career pathways and professional accreditation in Australia thanks to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that PEC signed with Engineers Australia to formally facilitate their international mobility and recognition.
According to PEC Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir, PEC has also created a specialized Global Linkages Division at its headquarters in Islamabad to promote its goal of global integration.
PEC’s dedication to empowering Pakistani engineers and increasing their contribution to the global engineering profession is furthered by this new platform, which is intended to actively encourage international job placement and engineer mobility across borders.
