MANILA, April 24, 2025 The Philippine President has officially signed Executive Order No. 86, creating the legal framework for the country’s new Digital Nomad Visa (DNV). This visa allows foreign nationals to live temporarily in the Philippines while working remotely, provided their employers or clients are located outside the Philippines.
Key Features of the Philippines Digital Nomad Visa

Validity: The DNV is valid for one year and can be renewed.

Multiple Entry Privileges: Holders can enter and exit the Philippines freely.

Application Process: Applicants must submit their request through the nearest Philippine Foreign Service Post (FSP) in their country of residence.
The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in partnership with the Bureau of Immigration (BI), will manage the issuance and facilitation of the Digital Nomad Visa. Detailed guidelines on issuance, renewal, and revocation are expected within 30 days of the Order’s effective date, with pilot implementation anticipated within 60 days.
