Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on an official trip, where he met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing collaboration in key sectors. They emphasized the long-standing, brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE, which are founded on mutual trust, shared values, and a history of cooperation. Prime Minister Sharif expressed his gratitude to the UAE leadership for playing a constructive role in reducing tensions between Pakistan and India, and for promoting peace, dialogue, and stability in the region.
The leaders acknowledged the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and agreed to continue close coordination to achieve regional peace and prosperity. The Prime Minister also reiterated his invitation to President Al Nahyan to visit Pakistan. Among those present at the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, and other senior officials.
Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed Pakistan’s participation in the London Tech Week 2025 held in Abu Dhabi, highlighting the country’s commitment to digital transformation, global tech engagement, and youth empowerment. He praised Pakistan’s strong presence at the event, noting that it positions the country as forward-thinking and focused on leveraging technology, innovation, and youth potential. He commended the Ministry of IT and other stakeholders for their contributions, stressing that Pakistan’s tech future is bright.
