The UAE guarantees Pakistanis complete assistance with visa facilitation

Speaking to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who is presently in the United Arab Emirates UAE on an official visit, Al Nahyan made the comment. Strengthening bilateral collaboration in immigration, security, and counter-narcotics issues is the goal of the visit.

At the Ministry of Interior in the United Arab Emirates, the minister was greeted with a guard of honour. Senior UAE officials were introduced to him, and he participated in high-level talks about facilitating Pakistani citizens’ visas, particularly work visas.

“We want Pakistani citizens to come to the UAE with ease,” Naqvi said during the visit, highlighting the significance of loosening the visa rules. It will be very helpful if visa regulations are relaxed.

In this context, the Interior Minister of the United Arab Emirates promised complete support.

Both parties reiterated their dedication to deepening collaboration in critical domains, such as security, counter-smuggling initiatives, and the application of cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence to address new security threats.

Naqvi also took a tour of the Abu Dhabi police’s state-of-the-art policing and operations centre, where he received an overview of the city’s cutting-edge crime-prevention and surveillance technology. He expressed interest in implementing comparable systems in Pakistan and commended the technological advancements.

According to APP, the minister referred to the UAE-Pakistan friendly ties as a “national asset” as he wrapped up his tour. He also stated Pakistan’s intention to strengthen collaboration across the board, but especially in the fields of public welfare and security.

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have strong cultural, diplomatic, and economic links. With a sizable population of Pakistani expatriates living and working there, the UAE is one of Pakistan’s biggest trading partners in the Middle East and a significant source of remittances.
