The bloody outburst of Fitna al Khawarij (FAK) in June of 2025 between the localities of Mardan to Punjab has jolted the very fabric of Pakistan. The activities of the FAK have nothing to do with the political movement or reform struggle. In fact, it constitutes a straighten out against the fundamental teachings of Islamic beliefs, the Pakistani government, and even the security of the innocent civilians. Even the bloodshed campaign conducted by FAK on the religious righteousness pretext is not a denouncement of justice but a serious threat of destabilizing the nation, which is reached through violence, psychological war, and penetration.
The Birth of FAK: A rebellion in the name of Islam
FAK purports to be struggling on the cause of Islam, but they are hypocrites since their deeds show otherwise. It was not a declaration of war but a random killing by the group in June 2025, as it started off in Mardan to the Punjab. Khawarij means a group of extremist movements which reject the right path of Islam. Like their state of the art ancestors the present Khawarij bend and distort religious teachings to support bloodshed and oppression, denying the ideals of justice and mercy that form the very core of Islam.
The Violent Escalation: Analysis of Important Attacks
The Mardan Ambush: Double Crossing of Muslim Brotherhood
FAK militants ambushed a military convoy at Mardan killing four soldiers including a Subedar. This ambush was not a battle-field engagement between two conflicting armed forces but a poisonous assault on fellow Muslims. Moreover, the targets of this attack were a military unit that was destined with the responsibility of protecting the sovereignty and peace of Pakistan. In fact, any accusation of this being an act of resistance on the behalf of the Islamic religion is not only fabricating the truth but is an act of betrayal to the principals of jihad that essentially is a duty to protect and salvage life and never end it wrongly.
The ambush in Mardan was a bloody beginning of the campaign by the FAK, and this was just a beginning. The extent and magnitude of their violence grew steadily as their attacks spread all over the area festering once peaceful localities into zones of terror and carnage.
Razmak: The Violence to Carnage
FAK intensified their violent campaign with disastrous causes in Razmak. On a bloodier incident, in an attack by the FAK militants, ten soldiers were killed and sixteen others injured as well as six military vehicles destroyed. This was not anti-oppression, this was brainless slaughter. Obviously, the attacks were not intended to carry any positive change or to heal any actual grievance but to cause more confusion in the region. One can only ignore the true elements at work here, those of extremism, manipulation and terror, until it is noted that this is nothing more than a senseless assault on the lives of those who are soldiers, sons, brothers and fathers.
Execution of Mirali: Justice at the expense of Law
Indeed, this is possibly one of the most shocking cases when reality of demonic objectification of human life met the full extent of FAK evil as it happened in Mirali when the militants executed a so-called spy. The killing was not done according to any judicial process and law, rather using a bullet right on the head and a camera to witness the crime. It was absent of trial, absent of evidence, and absent of legal process, and it was really lawlessness and terror. It should be notes that this execution is a sad testimony of horrors that emerge when violent extremists decide to become their own judges, executioners, and life and death arbitrators. This was not justice, in fact it was a total negation of Islam values of fairness and due process.
Gujarat (Punjab): The Civilian Streets of Terror of Militants
In the province of Gujarat in Punjab, FAK militants went on the streets; not to defend the Islamic faith but bring out fear. To carry the terror of their rule they came with weapons and with their resolve to bring terror to places that were one time peaceful neighborhoods of the civilians, and they were transformed into areas of horror. The impacts of the presence of the FAK were not those of liberals; on the contrary, it was a terror of occupation and silencing local communities. It is worth mentioning that these activities are not of the givers of Islam but of those who are able to use religion as a leverage to control, manipulate and oppress the innocent.
The Islamic view: Murder, Deception, and Life Sacredness
The religion of Islam is founded on peace, justice, and sanctity of life of human beings. According to Quran, in Surah Al-Maaidah verse 32, “Whoever kills a person unjustly…it is as though he has killed all mankind.” This verse highlights the seriousness of killing an innocent life. The violent acts of FAK go against such a principle. The fact that the group claims to be fighting in the cause of Islam is empty since their actions are full of bloodshed, treachery and lawlessness.
In addition, their terror attacks are not just about gaining power, but it is all about destabilizing Pakistan and causing confusion. Attacking the innocent population and soldiers, FAK is trying to destroy the social order, instill an environment of fear, insecurity, and segregation. The more they attack the more they propel Pakistan into a shambles state. Their military convoy harassments like the one in Mardan and their brutal killings at Mirali are deliberate acts to take away peace and integrity of the country.
Modern Drones and Mental Warfare the Emergence of Modern Terrorism: Quadcopter Drone Psychological Warfare
Modern Day Terrorism: A Troublesome Trend
Among the most alarming tendencies in June of 2025 attack by FAK is the enhancement of the relatively recent trend of modern technologies in the rhythm of terror. In Banu, an explosive-loaded quadcopter drone smashed into the solar panel installed on the roof of Miryan Police Station. Previously only military officials used drones but now, terrorists understand how to use drones to cause terror and spread destruction. This is the indication of changing patterns in the way the extremist groups such as FAK undertake their nefarious purposes as they are embracing the current technology of terrorism.
Psychological Warfare and its effects on Civilian Morale
And besides, these attacks are not individual cases. They can be considered as part of a wider plan of psychological warfare that they want to use and destabilize, not only the military, but also all the civilian infrastructure. Fear and uncertainty, which arise due to the never-ending possibility of bombing, ambushing and executing causes the people of Pakistan to not live in peace. The mental effect of this unswerving bloodshed cannot be underrated- each day, civilians are in fear of becoming vulnerable in the crossfire of such attacks.
Real Agenda of FAK: Power and Control
What FAK does is a sure indication that this is neither a movement when it comes to fighting justice, nor are they a movement which defends Islam. The FAK is not working in the interests of Islam as it does in the tribal lands and urban settings; it seeks power and dominion by using violence and manipulation. It is not a jihad, it is fitna—rebelling against the fabric of the society itself. This is fasad fil ardh, that is what their attacks are. Their aim is to put in place a situation in which fear is the order of the day and that the people are at the mercy of their distorted ideology.
Closure: The Cry of Unity against Extremism
With FAK still causing mayhem there are dire needs to bring the people of Pakistan together against this menace both Muslims and non-Muslims included. These radicals are not struggling to be of advantage to society at large, but they struggle over supremacy, power and bloodshed. What they do sheerly against the doctrines of Islam that believe in peace, justice, and respect to human life. People should come out and speak out against their distorted form of Islam and renew our stand on the things that unite us all—peace, harmony and respect to life.
The battle against FAK is not only a plain physical battle but also an essentially a soul winning war of Pakistan and where battles with the forces of extremism can only be countered by only the firm weight of faith, unity and strength.
