The suspect reportedly sent the disturbing footage to another individual, who briefly shared it on social media before deleting it. Although the actual stabbing was not captured in the shared video, security cameras inside the mosque recorded the attack. In his own footage, the suspect is heard acknowledging the security cameras and remarking, “I am going to be arrested that’s for sure.”
Officials have identified the suspect as a French citizen of Bosnian origin who is not Muslim.
