Worshipper fatally stabbed inside French mosque.

French police have launched a manhunt for a suspect accused of fatally stabbing a Muslim worshipper inside a mosque in La Grand-Combe, located in southern France’s Gard region, on Friday. The attacker, who remains at large, allegedly filmed the dying victim with his mobile phone while shouting anti-Islamic insults, regional prosecutor Abdelkrim Grini confirmed.

Authorities are treating the incident as a potential Islamophobic hate crime. The suspect reportedly sent the disturbing footage to another individual, who briefly shared it on social media before deleting it. Although the actual stabbing was not captured in the shared video, security cameras inside the mosque recorded the attack. In his own footage, the suspect is heard acknowledging the security cameras and remarking, “I am going to be arrested that’s for sure.”

Officials have identified the suspect as a French citizen of Bosnian origin who is not Muslim.
