India Behind Khuzdar School Bus Attack, Pakistan Alleges
In a joint press conference held in Islamabad, Pakistan’s civil and military leadership directly accused India of orchestrating the deadly school bus attack in Khuzdar. DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Interior Secretary Captain (retd) Khurram Muhammad Agha condemned the atrocity, which claimed the lives of eight people, including six children.
Labeling the perpetrators as devoid of any “Baloch or Pakistani identity,” both officials asserted that the assailants were Indian-sponsored proxies. According to preliminary investigations, the group responsible—referred to as “Fitna al-Hindustan”—has shifted focus to soft targets after repeated failures to strike hardened sites.
“Our enemies want to shatter our unity by targeting the most innocent among us,” said Agha. “But our response will be swift, decisive, and comprehensive.”
20 Years of Indian State-Sponsored Terrorism in Balochistan
Lt Gen Chaudhry outlined a consistent pattern of Indian-backed violence in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, spanning over two decades. He recalled multiple instances where Pakistan provided dossiers to the United Nations, including in 2009 and again in 2016, documenting Indian involvement. Arrested militants have allegedly confessed to receiving funds and training from Indian intelligence services.
A timeline of attacks was presented, including:
-
April 12: 12 laborers killed in Nushki
-
April 28: Two civilians killed in Tump Kech
-
February 14: 10 victims in Harnai IED blast
-
May 9: Three martyrs in Lasbela
-
Other targeted killings in Jaffer Express and public spaces
Lt Gen Chaudhry emphasized that India’s recent shift to attacking children and school buses marks a dangerous escalation.
He also shared intercepted audio of an Indian officer, Major Sandeep, detailing the flow of terrorist funding, and pointed to Indian media’s role in amplifying narratives that celebrate Pakistani civilian casualties.
Pakistan’s Response: Unity, Development, and Decisive Action
While reaffirming Pakistan’s right to self-defense, DG ISPR highlighted the security forces’ success in eliminating over 200 terrorists in Balochistan in 2025 alone. He credited local communities for cooperating in intelligence-based operations.
The military spokesperson stressed that India’s aim is to undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty through proxy groups, but such efforts are being met with national unity, development efforts, and international advocacy. He noted significant investments in Balochistan’s infrastructure, such as Gwadar International Airport, roads, hospitals, and education.
Lt Gen Chaudhry also reiterated that water rights under the Indus Waters Treaty remain non-negotiable and that Pakistan will continue to resist any attempt to coerce or destabilize it through terrorism or hybrid warfare.
