ISPR: 11 soldiers martyred, 78 injured defending Pakistan from Indian attack.

 ISPR Statement on Pakistan-India Escalation:

  1. Pakistani Losses in Indian Aggression:

    • 11 soldiers martyred, including Army and Air Force personnel.

    • 78 military personnel injured in the clashes.

    • 40 civilians killed (including 7 women and 15 children), with 121 civilians wounded in Indian strikes.

  2. India’s Provocation & Pakistan’s Response:

    • India launched “Operation Sindoor” (May 6-7), conducting airstrikes on Pakistan, leading to civilian casualties.

    • Pakistan retaliated with “Operation Bunyanum Marsoos”, a precision-based military response targeting Indian positions.

  3. Ceasefire & US Mediation:

    • Intense fighting continued for days, including missile exchanges, before a US-brokered ceasefire was announced on May 10.

  4. Honoring the Martyrs:

    • The ISPR named the fallen soldiers, praising their courage, sacrifice, and patriotism.

    • PM Shehbaz Sharif declared May 10 as “Youm-e-Marka-i-Haq” to commemorate Pakistan’s successful defense.

    • May 16, 2025, will be observed as a day of national gratitude for the armed forces’ victory.

  5. Pakistan’s Strong Warning:

    • The ISPR issued a clear message: Any future aggression against Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with a “swift, full-spectrum, and decisive response.”
