The United Arab Emirates government has announced plans to build the world’s third floating museum in Dubai, a project that will further enhance the city’s global reputation as a hub of innovation and culture.
The Dubai Museum of Art, known as DUMA, was unveiled by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, and is set to be established on the scenic Dubai Creek. According to the Observer Guardian, this visionary initiative reflects Dubai’s continuous commitment to blending art, technology, and architecture in extraordinary ways.
The world’s first floating art museum was inaugurated in Paris in 2019, while the second is scheduled to open later this year in South Korea. The upcoming Dubai museum will join this elite list, offering visitors a one-of-a-kind artistic and cultural experience on water.
As reported by Observer Guardian and Arab media outlets, the breathtaking structure has been designed by the world-renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando, whose minimalist yet striking architectural style is celebrated across the globe. The floating museum in Dubai aims to become a landmark of creativity, sustainability, and modern design in the region.
