China has firmly rejected US President Donald Trump’s allegations regarding nuclear weapons testing, calling them “baseless and politically motivated.”
In an official statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized that the country remains committed to the path of peaceful development and has always upheld global non-proliferation efforts.
According to Observer Guardian, the ministry reaffirmed Beijing’s long-standing policy of “no first use” of nuclear weapons, stressing that China’s nuclear strategy is entirely defensive in nature.
The statement added that China’s nuclear program is transparent, responsible, and focused solely on maintaining strategic stability, not on escalating global tensions.
Chinese officials further urged the United States to “abandon its Cold War mentality” and engage in constructive dialogue rather than issuing unfounded accusations.
