Israel has been urged to halt its continuous assault against Syria by Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
Foreign media report that Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran’s Permanent Envoy to the UN, stated during a Security Council meeting that “Iran rejects any attempt to undermine Syria’s sovereignty or alter its demographic structure.”
The Iranian envoy emphasized that Israel’s recurrent attacks have resulted in the loss of civilian lives and the destruction of priceless property in Syria, serving as both a watchdog over regional events and a defender of international law.
He added that terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda and Daesh are still causing instability in the region.
