India Notifies Pakistan of the Flood Threat

Pakistan has been alerted of possible flooding by the Indian High Commission.

A flood alarm has been issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Water Resources, which serves as the country’s guardian of river safety.

India has reported a high-level flood scenario in the Sutlej River at Harike downstream and Ferozepur downstream, per the official message.

A high flood level in the Tawi River near Jammu has also been reported by India, according to the alert.

As a watchdog over weather patterns, Punjab’s Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted rains throughout the province through September 5, which might make the flood situation worse.
